Politics Schmolitics

I would not consider myself a political person. Politics are too involved and complex for me to spend time trying to understand. I would rather use my time doing something I feel I can individually make an impact in. There are many, many other reasons.

Nevertheless, I found myself feeling exhilarated and excited as I watched the inauguration today. It was a first for me to be remotely emotional about anything political. I did not root for one person over the other in the election but I am happy with the results. I am excited for change and anxious to see how and when it will occur.

For some reason, the entire country just seemed awestruck and overwhelmed at the ceremony today. I can't imagine anyone not feeling just a bit curious and excited for what is to come, no matter their political preferences or lack thereof...
